QARI’s mission is to foster and improve the social, cultural, economic, and civic lives of immigrants and their families to benefit Quincy and its neighboring communities. Please describe how your volunteer work aligns with QARI’s mission of building leadership while serving the immigrant community. Focus on the significance of your work, how you have enacted positive change in the community, and what it has meant to you, rather than listing the different service projects you have done.
  2. Community Service Quality (service recommendation letter & resume)
    - A typed resume detailing your extracurricular activities, awards, volunteer and/or work experience. Please take time to describe the volunteer portion of your resume, which should include responsibilities and positions of leadership.

    - Letters of recommendation can be from a volunteer/program coordinator or from an employer, counselor or high school staff.

    - You have the option to have your community service advisor email the recommendation letter to scholarships@quincyasianresources.org or upload it directly to the application by Wednesday, April 24, 2024, 11:59pm EST.
  3. Community Service Quantity
Letters or forms documenting at least 10 hours of service during high school, signed by a project/volunteer coordinator. Documents must include the name of a primary organization for which you volunteered, a contact name, and phone number.
  4. Initiative and Leadership
The essay and recommendation submission should describe leadership skills and initiative in your school and/or community service organization.

  5. Additional Recommendation Letter
You have the option to email the additional recommendation letter to scholarships@quincyasianresources.org or upload it directly to the application by Wednesday, April 24, 2024, 11:59pm EST.
